  • Mission statement

    The objects of the Glaziers Foundation are:

    (i) The advancement of education of the public in the art snd science of historic and contemporary painted, stained, decorated, architectural and structural glass and glass mosiacs and the development of public appreciation of such art.

    (ii) Advancing any other charitable purpose for the benefit of the public, including the relief of poverty, distress and sickness (particularly amongst those engaged in decorative glass making and related trades and their dependents) and the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupation in the interests of social welfare with the aim of improving the conditions of life of those who have need of such facilities.

  • Aims

    The Glaziers Foundation aims to:

    • Re-allocate or re-site salvaged glass in suitable buildings (including those of historical or architectural interest) to which the public have access.
    • Further research into and the study of the art of painted and stained glass through any other means the trustees see fit.
    • Provide and preserve fine examples of painted and stained glass in places where they may be seen by members of the public.
    • Provide a repository for the salvage and storage of meritorious examples of painted and stained glass at risk of loss or damage.
    • Maintain a library or libraries of books, journals and materials associated with the art of painted and stained glass.
