FACES of Kent (Families Affected by Caring Empowerment Services) supports unpaid Family Carers of all ages who are helping to care for a loved one or friend.

    "Carers are People First. Promoting, Supporting and Empowering Communities. "

    Supporting unpaid Family Carers from the age of 5, living within (but not exclusively) the Swale and Canterbury areas of Kent, who are caring for someone that may be elderly or frail, have a disability, mental health problems, long term or terminal illness, or substance misuse problem.

    Our support services include:

    Adults caring for another adult
    Alzheimer's & Dementia Family Support
    Parent Carers
    Mindset - Carers of those with mental health problems
    Older Carers (aged 60+) caring for an adult child with learning difficulties
    Young Carers aged 5 -18 years
    Carers Health Promotion
    Information, Advice, Guidance and Advocacy for unpaid Family Carers
    1:1 emotional support
    Support Groups
    Short break/respite opportunities
    Schools Development

  • Aims

    FACES of Kent aims to:

    • To relieve poverty, sickness and mental suffering among people who are caring for or who have cared for people who are elderly, disabled, ill or frail for any reason
    • To relieve such elderly, disabled, ill or frail
    • To advance education amongst Carers, statutory bodies and the general public concerning caring and the support and treatment of those requiring support from Carers
