Prison Fellowship England & Wales

Prison Fellowship supports prisoners to take steps to change. The changes in their life help them, their families and the communities they will eventually return to.

Founded 1980

  • Mission statement

We believe that every prisoner has value, everyone can change and should be given the opportunity to change. We work to counter the negative impact of crime on victims, children and families, those who commit crime and on society.

  • Aims

Prison Fellowship England & Wales aims to:

    • Support and care for prisoners to change behaviour and work towards living a law abiding life. Working alongside Prison staff and our volunteers to achieve this aim.
    • Support families of those in prison through initiatives that strengthen family ties. Running Angel Tree at Christmas and Mothering Sunday to create opportunities to build and strengthen relationship.
    • Engage in restorative justice through the Sycamore Tree Programme, Peer Mentoring and Restorative Justice Conferencing. Last year we engaged some 2000 prisoners through these interventions.
