Pan Concerts For Children

We organise motivational concerts for children at schools in areas of deprivation or children with special needs. These can be followed up by sourcing instruments and funding lessons when appropriate.

Founded 2010

  • Mission statement

The ultimate aim of Pan is to kindle children’s enthusiasm for music no matter what their circumstances or disabilities and support any child that wants to take this further. Through music, Pan inspires and motivates children at schools in areas of multiple deprivation and at schools for children with special needs. We also ensure that disadvantaged children who wish to learn an instrument have the opportunity to do so without the worry of financial constraints. We can help locate and loan an instrument, find a teacher and if necessary fund the lessons. We know through our background as professional musicians how music can enrich a child's life in so many different ways. Apart from experiencing the joy and fun in making music, children can develop essential life skills such as working in a team along with the self discipline required when learning an instrument and playing it with others. We believe that our concerts, which may be a child's first experience of live music, must be of the highest standard. The musicians we send into schools are professionals who are experienced in performing to children and passionate about motivating them. We use small ensembles in order that the children have the opportunity to speak to the players and even try instruments. All concerts and follow up services are individually tailored to each child or school involved.
