    Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is an environmental charity focused on the protection of the UK’s oceans, waves and beaches for all to access, use and enjoy safely and sustainably, via campaigning, volunteering, conservation, education and scientific research.

  • Aims

    Surfers Against Sewage aims to:

    • Improve coastal water quality for all to enjoy in a safe & sustainable way.
    • Reduce man-made impacts on the UK coastline - including, marine litter, climate change, toxic chemicals & sewage discharges.
    • Strengthen our network of community activists by developing our Regional Representative programme.
    • Provide opportunities for individuals to volunteer through an extensive beach clean programme.
    • Ensure uninhibited, sustainable access to the coastline (particularly surf spots) for surfers, wave riders and other coastal users.
