International House was founded in 1953 by John and Brita Haycraft. It is dedicated to raising the standard of learning and teaching languages worldwide and fostering international understanding through education.

    International House is dedicated to raising the standard of learning and teaching languages worldwide and fostering international understanding through education. Its activities are supervised by an educational trust of which International House London – a non-profit making institution- is a part. International House schools are committed to achieving the highest standards of teaching and of care for students and teachers.

    International House Trust Limited aims to:

    • The teaching and testing of foreign languages, cultural awareness and associated skills, including the teaching of English as a foreign language and teaching about English culture
    • The training of men and women of any nationality in the teaching of foreign languages, including the teaching of English as a foreign language
    • The professional development of language teachers so as to raise language teaching standards worldwide
