Formed in 1983 we currently provide various community based support services to adults with mental health issues throughout the communities of Lanarkshire.

    We are committed to developing and providing quality support services in partnership with people who experience mental health difficulties, their carers and other agencies.

  • Aims

    LANARKSHIRE ASSOCIATION FOR MENTAL HEALTH aims to:

    • To increase public awareness & understanding of mental health issues in order to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with mental ill health.
    • To alleviate the poverty and hardship that mental ill health can cause by tailoring sevices to promote equality of opportunity and assisting people to have meaningful and valued lives.
    • To explore and implement new ways of providing support within our communities for those in need of our services to ensure services develop in keeping with good practice and current trends.
    • To encourage and assist the existing statutory bodies responsible for providing services in the field of mental health to meet the diverse needs of our communities.
