    KCFN are dedicated to empowering and developing the children and young
    people’s workforce as well as parents and carers through training and sharing best practice in play, participation and infrastructure.
    We aspire to be involved and influential at all levels of planning, commissioning and delivery of children’s services in Kent. To enhance our knowledge it is key we listen to the voices of children and young people and that their ideas are taken on board. We are passionate about ensuring as many people as possible can take advantage of our projects and services especially vulnerable children and young people and their families who are at risk of social exclusion.

  • Aims

    Kent Children's Fund Network aims to:

    • Developing and Delivering Youth and children’s Services Delivering projects and services that make a difference to the lives of hard to reach and vulnerable children and young people.
    • Engagement Through Play Improving access to activities to promote the better health and well-being of children and young people. Early Intervention and Preventative Services Reducing escalation.
    • Participation Embedding the participation of vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people, in commissioning, delivery, development and review of children and young people’s services.
    • Training for the Children's Workforce A bespoke program of accredited, non-accredited and apprenticeship training delivered by a dedicated team from our City & Guilds Approved training centre.
    • Research and Consultation with Children and Young People Working with our focus group of children and young people, giving them a voice on issues that affect them informing project Impact & evaluation
