Deaf Connections are a Scottish based charity with a national agenda to improve communication access for Deaf and hard of hearing people across the country.

Founded 1822

  • Mission statement

    To provide Deaf and hard of hearing people with a range of accessible, affordable and effective services that empowers them to achieve a high quality of life within the community.

  • Aims

    Deaf Connections aims to:

    • Provide training and services designed to meet communication needs, the provision of sign language interpreters, lip speakers, BSL/English translators and speech to text operators
    • To provide welfare services for Deaf and hard of hearing people who wish to sustain their domestic independence or require specific support
    • To provide services designed to develop independence, ensure inclusion in the community and help maintain and improve health.
    • To provide courses designed to develop essential skills such as literacy and numeracy.
