Harrogate & Area CVS provides specialist information, advice and support to voluntary and community groups. We also provide services to individuals including a Volunteer Centre.

    To enable the people of Harrogate District to access services and to live and work in a thriving community in order that they can live an active and fulfilling life.

  • Aims

    Harrogate And Area Council For Voluntary Service aims to:

    • To work with partners to ensure that everyone, including vulnerable and under-represented groups, are able to influence service provision locally.
    • To ensure that the voluntary and community sector is recognised and valued in strategic partnership work and community planning.
    • To support the development of new services and projects to meet the needs of disadvantaged or vulnerable people in the Harrogate area which would not otherwise be provided.
    • To provide a range of support services to HACVS members and the wider voluntary and community sector to meet their needs.
    • To promote effective leadership and management in the voluntary and community sector in the Harrogate area
