RSPCA, DONCASTER, ROTHERHAM & DISTRICT BRANCH

The Doncaster,Rotherham & District Branch of the RSPCA,is an autonomous charity that depends on local support to raise funds for the vital animal welfare work it carries out. The structure of the RSPCA is such that, all branches are self-funding and do not qualify for any government support. The Branch is responsible for the management and control of the South Yorkshire Animal Centre. Our mission is to povide care for the inspectorate animals and to provide short term accomodation for other needy animals until new loving homes can be found, or the animal is rehabilitated back to the wild. The emphasis is on providing a complete specialist service based on having a detailed knowledge of the type of care required for the animals on offer.

Also by using our experience in animal welfare, we will both be able to advise and direct our clients to find the type of animal best suits their situation and the requirements of the individual animals, in order to get the very best out of their time together. The present staff are passionate about the welfare and care of animals, both whilst at the Centre and after they have been rehomed. We intend to maintian their enthusiasm through constant skill training, also we will only recruit new personnel and volunteers who share our vision. We also intend that charitable work with regard to animal care should be fun.
