Oasis Church Street Outreach (under Oasis Church Trust)

We are a homeless outreach team, made up of volunteers, who endeavour to meet the needs of rough sleepers in Birmingham City Centre.

Founded 2009

  • Mission statement

We aim to bring hope and provide support to many people living on the streets who have resigned themselves to having nothing.

From 2000 The Bridge would regularly send out outreach (“street”) teams into the city centre to seek out rough sleepers. Since 2009 these outreach teams have been being run mainly by students and ex students who attend Oasis church who have wanted to get involved in social action in the city and partnering with The Bridge. On Saturday the 2nd of February we are having our second ‘sleep out’ in order to help raise funds to help the ongoing work at the bridge and also to raise money for resources for the outreach teams. Outreach work seeks to love and support those that are living and sleeping rough on the streets in the city centre.
