Ymddireidolaeth Addoldai Cymru is a charity which was brought into being in response to the alarming scale of redundancy amongst Wales’ rich heritage of Nonconformist chapels. Its principal remit is to take into care a selection of redundant chapels of exceptional quality, to undertake any necessary repairs, and to make them available for appropriate community use.

    WELSH CHAPELS; buildings that were steeped in the cultural, social and industrial life and foundations of nonconformity and Welsh history; with the aid and endeavours of local people to create a 21st century revival to reinstate a selection of redundant buildings back to being at the heart of the cultural and social life of their localities and Wales.

    Ymddiriedolaeth Addoldai Cymru Welsh Religious Building Trust aims to:

    • The Trust's secondary remit is to act as an advisory body for living congregations and to raise awareness and appreciation of Wales' Nonconformist heritage
    • Its principal remit is to take into care a selection of redundant chapels of exceptional quality, to undertake any necessary repairs, and to make them available for appropriate community use.
