  • Mission statement

The object of the charity shall be 'to provide, equip and maintain a recreation ground for the use of the inhabitants generally of Grindleton and the neighbourhood for recreation and leisure- time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants".
We are funded entirely by donations and fundraising events. Our project involved raising £500,000 through grants and donations to build the Pavilion - a community resource for exercise and leisure activities.

  • Aims

Grindleton Recreation Ground Charity aims to:

    • To continue to develop the facilities available at the Pavilion to maximise the benefit to the community and raise funds to pay off our outstanding loan of £30,000
    • To continue with ongoing maintenance of the current facilities-children's play area, multi-use games area and football pitch. The Safe surfaces need replacing and football pitch need draining
