The National Youth Advocacy Service

NYAS is the leading provider of independent children's advocacy, providing support, advice and representation to vulnerable children and young people as well as parents and carers. We are committed to ensuring their voices are heard, their wishes and feelings are taken into account and their rights and entitlements are respected. We provide advocacy, independent visiting, Regulation 44 visits to children's homes, Return from Missing Interviews and supervised contact.

    The National Youth Advocacy Service aims to:

    • To ensure children and young people are enabled to express their wishes and feelings
    • To ensure children and young people are enabled to participate in decision making and planning that affects their lives
    • To ensure children and young people are empowered to make informed and free choices and to speak for themselves
    • To provide a range of independent, confidential and young person led information, advice, advocacy and legal services.
