Their Future Today

Transforming lives of orphans and abandoned children existing in state run institutions in Sri Lanka. Reuniting families driven apart through poverty and providing education to impoverished children

Founded 2010

  • Mission statement

Their Future Today's personal vision is committed to raising awareness for children existing in unacceptable and deprived conditions in state run institutions in Sri Lanka. Many children are abandoned through poverty as their families are homeless and cannot provide for them. It is heartbreaking to see mothers without choice having to walk away from their babies and sometimes they visit and cry when they have to leave.

Since visiting a state run institution in 2005, soon after the tsunami, our founder made a promise to raise funds to improve the living conditions for the babies and tiny malnourished children and since then has established and registered the charity in the UK and Sri Lanka and spent funds directly to restore, improve and maintain run down buildings, provide regular supplies of food, medicines, vitamins, clothing, bedding, cleaning materials, employ additional care staff (sometimes older orphans) and organise training.
Where children are abandoned through poverty our aim is to assist in the legalities of readoption to reunite children with their families providing housing, support and income generating schemes.
Education is the key to better futures and we provide school books and educational equipment to impoverished children and encourage them
    to educate their illiterate families.
Our direct approach spending funding enables us to work transparently effectively and immediately.
We dont just talk about it. We do it
