Size of Wales is a unique initiative helping local people to sustain an area of tropical forest the size of Wales.

Founded 2010

  • Mission statement

    Supporters of the Size of Wales project are linked to rainforest projects and communities worldwide to assist sustainable management of forest resources and to make a significant contribution to reducing global carbon emissions.

    Together, individuals; companies; schools and community groups are helping to protect two million hectares of rainforest and forge lasting links with some of the world's poorest people as part of our national response to climate change.

  • Aims

    Size of Wales aims to:

    • To raise funds to continue to help sustain 2 million hectares of tropical forests (the size of Wales) From 2016 we plan to double our impact and help protect TWICE the size of Wales
    • To raise awareness of the importance of tropical forests for stabilising our global climate
