Mencap in Kirklees works with people who have learning disabilities and their families to enable them to lead full and purposeful lives.

We are an independent local charity.

    Mencap In Kirklees aims to:

    • To continue to provide good value for money.
    • To develop our staff through investment in training, involvement in future planning and maintaining our Investors in People status.
    • To provide high quality, practical support services through our residential, community and day care facilities.
    • To fight for change and understanding for people with learning disabilities by promoting positive images, challenging prejudice wherever we find it and involvement with like minded organisations.
    • To provide the added value which only a voluntary organisation with a strong commitment to the cause can provide .
