Quarry Bank Community Association

We are a charitable organisation that works with communities living in the socially deprived wards of Skelmersdale, promoting education and training to help in the regeneration of the town by working with people to assist then into education or training with a view to making them employable and thereby breaking the cycle of poverty. To do this we deliver UK online services in community venues within the socially deprived wards, job club facilities and other projects.

We employ Community Learning Facilitators in these venues to deliver the service and raise funds to do so.
We also intend to construct a new building on land at the rear of Quarry Bank House to better facilitate the service and to provide a function suite, office accommodation for other small community organisations and provide facilities for education and training within the deprived communities which can deliver ‘First Steps’ learning to assist people into education and training as previously described. To achieve this we require substantial funding.

I am asking organisations such as your own if they would be willing to make a donation of any size to help us make this a reality. We will of course provide you with an acknowledgement as proof of any donation.

If you wish to make a donation, please send to the above address. If you require further information or want to visit us or wish us to visit you then please do not hesitate to contact us.
