  • Mission statement

Carers Trust Heart of England (formerly Coventry Carers' Centre and Crossroads Care) exists to improve the lives of family carers and the people they care for in Coventry by providing support to meet their individual needs.

The support provided includes information, advice, advocacy, a listening ear, planning for the future, support groups, training, replacement care, a carer emergency service, help with domestic tasks and personal care for the person with care needs.

Family carers are people who look after partners, friends and relatives who cannot look after themselves due to illness, disability or old age. The care they provide is unpaid yet has been estimated to be worth the equivalent of another NHS. Family carers often experience financial disadvantage, social exclusion and ill health as a result of their caring role.

Family carers come from all social and ethnic backgrounds and can be of any age from children to the elderly.
