The Neuromuscular Centre in Cheshire serves people with muscular dystrophy a progressive muscle wasting disease which results in complex physical disabilities.

  • Mission statement

    The aim of The Neuromuscular Centre is to work with people who live with muscular dystrophy in an attempt to make their lives easier, longer and more fulfilled.

    The Neuromuscular Centre works in 4 main areas; Providing practical care through physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and complementary therapies. Support for carers and individuals living with muscular dystrophy. Training in graphic design through accredited courses in an attempt to provide greater access to work. And employment our design and print social enterprise provides employment for 15 people with muscular dystrophy.

    The NMC is used by hundreds of families across the North West of England and North Wales. We are entirely unique and exist as the only centre of our kind in the UK. The centre relies entirely upon public donations, the generosity of individuals, organisations and various fundraising events throughout the year to try to make the £750,000 needed, this year alone, to keep the centre running.
