Our Mission is to be the key provider in Sheffield of support to people over 50 promoting health and well being for the improvement of quality of life.

  • Mission statement

    Agewell is a registered charity , formed in Sheffield in 1989. We work from a community development perspective to promote, improve and preserve the health and wellbeing of people over the age of 50 resident in Sheffield and District.
    We work with older people without distinction of race, nationality, gender, disability, sexual preference, religious or political beliefs.
    We develop and support Agewell Health Activity Groups, Lunch Clubs, Community Referral Scheme, Intermediate Care Referral Scheme, Garden Security Scheme, and Hospital Activity groups. We use a variety of methods to develop health prevention work with older people.
    We also recruit, train and support volunteers to work in a variety of capacities with our members.
