Youth Options is an established and thriving organisation with an outstanding history of supporting children and young people. Set up originally as the Hampshire and IOW Association of Boys Clubs in 1937, the charity has come a long way since these days and currently supports some 2,000 young people each year through targeted projects and more than 20,000 young people through support of open access youth clubs in Hampshire.
Our fundamental commitment is to improve the life opportunities of children and young people through high quality, vibrant and dynamic programmes, which motivate, support and enable them to choose a happy, healthy and positive future.
At Youth Options, we support young people through a diverse programme tailored to the setting, needs and age of the individual. The difficulties faced by these vulnerable young people vary, but include risk of educational or social exclusion, challenging behaviour, chaotic home lives, criminal behaviour, low self-esteem, poor educational achievement and low aspirations.
We believe passionately that every child and young person should have the opportunity to realise their potential whatever their life circumstances.
