Noah's Ark Centre

Speke Baptist Church, located in Speke, which ranks in the 1% most deprived areas in England based on the combined deprivation index. We seek to serve the local comminity in which we meet, live & work

Founded 1947

  • Mission statement

Our mission is to serve the local community both spiritually and practically. We particularly aim to serve the most vulnerable in the community including the elderly, children, single parents and teenagers.

We think it is essential for organisations in the local area to work together to solve local issues. We have strong links with the local housing association, the police, the local schools, especially the secondary school, the local JET Centre and the local youth training centre.

We purchased the Noah's Ark to convert into a community centre because we outgrew our existing building. As we have developed the plans for the building we have forged stronger links with the local community and have a number of new initiatives that we hope to develop as well as continue to grow our existing works.

  • Aims

    Noah's Ark Centre aims to:

    • As Christians, we seek to glorify God through the way we conduct ourselves and the way in which we meet the needs of the community, without prejudice or judgement.
    • To provide a 'third place' after home and work, for people to meet in a positive environment.
    • To provide a central location, which will provide targeted services for the various needs of the community.
