Herefordshire Heartstart

We train members of the public and school staff how to save a life at free courses, we have trained thousands of people throughout Herefordshire and wish to continue delivering these free courses.

    Main objectives of organisation:
    “The advancement of education and the protection and preservation of life by increasing public awareness of the need for Emergency Life Support training. Arranging and providing courses and other opportunities for people to learn essential knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to help them deal with emergency situations to the best of their ability” (Governing Document)
    “To increase public awareness of the need for Emergency Life Support Training (ELS) and to provide such training in the community. ” (Mission Statement)

    Herefordshire Heartstart aims to:

    • AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The advancement of education and the protection and preservation of life by: 2.1 Increasing local public awareness of the need for Emergency Life Support Training.
    • 2.2 Arranging and providing courses and other opportunities for people to learn the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to help them deal with emergency situations to the best of the
    • 2.3 Encouraging attendance on training courses.
    • 2.4 Ensuring that the conduct and delivery of training of and by the Scheme’s Instructors is in accordance with the current guidelines of or accepted by the Resuscitation Council & theHeartstart group
    • 2.5 Contributing to the wider development of the Heartstart initiative.
