    THE MISSION OF THE BRITISH SCHOOL AT ROME IS TO PROMOTE KNOWLEDGE AND DEEP ENGAGEMENT WITH ALL ASPECTS OF THE ART , HISTORY AND CULTURE OF ITALY BY SCHOLARS AND FINE ARTISTS FROM BRITAIN AND THE COMMONWEALTH AND TO FOSTER INTERNATIONAL AND INTERDISCIPLINARY EXCHANGE. THE BSR AIMS TO SUPPORT RESIDENTIAL AWARDS , EXHIBITIONS , RESEARCH PROJECTS , A SPECIALIST LIBRARY AND SHORT TAUGHT COURSES. WE ARE BRITAIN'S PREMIER ADVANCE RESEARCH INSTITUTE ABROAD.
