Rarer Cancers Foundation

A cancer diagnosis can be a devastating and stressful time for you.... Being diagnosed with a rare or less common cancer can increase these feelings of isolation. The RCF is here to help.

Founded 2001

  • Mission statement

The Rarer Cancers Foundation aims to ensure that people with rarer cancers have access to the best services and outcomes. There are currently inequalities of care and support facing cancer patients in the UK. For example, where the patient lives, how long it takes to achieve a diagnosis, and availability of treatment. These inequalities can have an enormous effect on a patient’s quality of life, and, ultimately, on their prognosis. We aim to reduce these inequalities by raising awareness, disseminating information and promoting patient advocacy. We also believe that every cancer patient should have access to personalised advice and support, which we provide through our website, forums and bespoke helpline operated by nurse specialists.
