  • Mission statement

Completed in 1965, with 70% of the money donated from the local community, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre has always been a focus for community life within the area as well as a centre for excellence. With an established reputation for bringing an exciting and rich resource of first class drama and contemporary theatre to the area and nationally, it is one of only two theatres in the region that still produces its own work. It aims to serve the largest and widest possible audience by providing a range of types of drama to cater to all tastes and levels of interest. Attracting audiences from a wide area, it offers an excellent alternative for those who are unable or unwilling to travel to London to experience the theatre.
