    The Friends of Whitworth House is a registered charity, formed to provide support for vulnerable, homeless young women in Cambridge.

    Whitworth House was officially opened in May 1998 and currently accommodates up to thirteen residents, age 16-25 years of age, under the management of Orwell Housing Association.

    Staff sleep on the premises and work to create a family environment for the residents, enabling them to undertake training/qualifications and find employment, to enable them to live independent lives

    The Friends of Whitworth House aims to:

    • To raise funds to help the young vulnerable women who live at Whitworth House with their day to day needs and to occasionally give them special treats.
