WATERFRONT COMMUNITY CENTRE

Waterfront Community Centre is a registered charity, aiming to support people on the margins of society by tackling disadvantage and building community cohesion.
The Waterfront Community Centre has operated in its current form, since the 14th July 2003, providing a variety of activities, services and a drop in facility for vulnerable people. On average of 200 users per week access the centre. The centre is within a parade of shops near the town centre and opposite Suffolk New College.
Waterfront Community Centre offers a wide range of information, support and guidance in a relaxed and informal setting on a drop in basis with free lunches. This includes one – one coaching, confidence building and life skills, access to resources and internet as well as activities to promote social interaction. In addition we also offer the following services:
 SWAP shop with fair trade coffee mornings
 Junior Young Peoples Club
 Senior Young Peoples Club
 Cookery and healthy living sessions
 Arts and crafts sessions
 Recycling
 Music and singing
 Gardening / Allotment
 Residents group meetings
 Safer Neighbourhood Team surgeries
 Home tuition pupil services for excluded children
