  • Mission statement

“Through language, we empower people to take an active role in the community”
Our work is to support the students we work with in a holistic way. The primary activity is to teach English in order to improve their:
Health and well being, economic and social integration, training and employability, practical skills and knowledge about and accessing public services effectively, managing their day to day lives particularly with their children and preventing isolation and depression.
The core work whilst supervised and managed by Coordinators is carried out through the commitment and dedication of our trained volunteers who on a weekly basis visit students in their own homes to teach them language skills through English lessons, role plays and practical support accompanying them out of the house for example to hospital, shopping, etc.
