The Royal Academy of Arts is an arts centre with a programme of exhibitions, education activities, community projects, post-graduate arts school, and research centre.

  • Mission statement

    The Royal Academy of Arts is an international centre where artists and the public can create, debate and exhibit the visual arts. It has been independent since it was founded in 1768 and is a self-funded charity which receives no government subsidy.

    We believe that creativity and debate should lie at the heart of all we do, including our exhibitions, our education and outreach programmes, our fine arts school and our permanent collection.
