Manchester Mind’s vision is of a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all, and that treats people with experience of mental distress fairly, positively, and with respect. Manchester Mind's mission is to promote the wellbeing and recovery of people and families who have been affected by mental distress through working with them in a meaningful way and on a range of issues.
Manchester MInd aims to:
- To address the effects of poverty, insecurity and poor physical health on people’s mental health.
- To enable people to manage their own lives and to make positive choices with skill and confidence.
- To promote and create opportunities for people to contribute to their communities.
- To provide information and advice to people to meet their particular needs and raise awareness about mental health issues within the city.
