The Spark Initiative

Our Vision is “to see the Spark Initiative operate a network of highly effective and accessible services to enrich and support the lives of the vulnerable and socially isolated in our community.

Founded 2000

  • Mission statement

    Who are We?
We are a Christian organisation, established in February 2000 by Chryston Parish Church, and based in Moodiesburn.
As a team, we are motivated by our Faith, our love for those in need of support, and the strong desire to serve others.
The idea for ‘Spark’ started as a seed planted by God in the mind of Jess Gunter, a church member. Her vision, heart and drive enabled the growth of the Spark Projects, which are now firmly established and make a real and positive difference to local people.

    Who do we Serve?
Some areas of our local community have been seriously affected by the disintegration of family life, addiction and significant economic difficulties.

Many people have become isolated and socially excluded. They may be affected by illness or financial difficulty and can often be in need of practical help, friendship and most importantly to know that they are valued.
