  • Mission statement

InterActive is a small local charity, working in the local community to respond to needs expressed by families. We provide quality, inclusive play and leisure opportunities, and respite care, for children and young people of all abilities. We run termtime play sessions and holiday playdays for Under Fives and their families, holiday play schemes for 5 to 12 year olds, and a summer Activities Week for the over 12s. One to one enablers ensure that children and young people with disabilities or special needs can participate fully in everything alongside their mainstream peers. We also run a weekend activity programme especially for children and young people with disabilities or special needs, as well as support for their families. Over 200 children and young people participate in our. Projects.
InterActive is run by a committee of voluntary trustees. We employ
3 part time staff and a team of sessional project workers and provide work experience for volunteers. We provide training in inclusive play, child protection, disability awareness, lifting and handling, First Aid, risk assessment etc. WE ARE THE ONLY ORGANISATION OF THIS KIND IN OUR AREA AND WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT WE DO!
