  • Mission statement

Peterborough FM is the only generic community radio station in Peterborough, with the aim of being “community radio” in terms of 90% of the work is on inputs in terms of recruiting, training and supporting volunteer activity within various roles in the radio project such as research, editing, presenting, and back office responsibilities such as marketing, administration, updating website and podcasts etc. The remaining 10% is the product that the volunteer inputs achieve, in terms of the radio broadcast and its impact on the wider community or listener base. . Many of our programmes are broadcast in English, helping people learn the language, but we do create opportunities with other groups for community language programmes to be broadcast - therefore reaching those seen as hardest to reach in the city.
