Speur-Ghlan Early Intervention Service

Speur-Ghlan Early Intervention service has been set up to cater for the specific needs of children aged between 18 months and 5 years old who either have a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition or who have been identified by professionals as having a developmental delay. We aim to provide support for these children in the form of intensive, individualised educational intervention both in a specialised nursery provision and also in the home environment. We do not believe there is a ‘one size fits all’ approach to intervention for pre school children with Autism or related difficulties, instead we will build individualised and tailor made intervention plans for each child in our care, drawing on a range of evidence based methods, focusing on developing communication, interaction and play. We also aim to support and train parents/ carers and professionals so that children can be supported to fulfil their full potential both in the home and in their nursery/ school environments.
It is our aim to become a leading provider of individualised, effective early childhood intervention for pre school children with Autism Spectrum Conditions or related difficulties, and to provide advice, support and training for families and professionals.
