Young Advisors

Young Advisors is a young charity that works with a variety of clients around the country to recruit and train local young people as consultants in regeneration and youth involvement. These young people, once qualified, are then able to charge a fee to advise, train, consult and improve the services of the host agency, and any other organisation which commissions their services. The fees can then be used to pay the young advisor, or contribute to projects of benefit to young people and the local community.

Projects receive ongoing support from the charity in the form of further training, sustainability advice, national commissions and links with other local and national Young Advisor projects. There are currently 30 projects nationally, employing 600 Young Advisors. All the projects generate their own income through the sale of their services, and since the Charity began operation, roughly 60% of projects have recruited their second intake of Young Advisors.

The Charity itself is youth led, and the majority of our trustees, including our Chair who is just 18, are young people.
