Asylum Support & Immigration Resource Team (ASIRT)

ASIRT is an OISC registered advocacy organisation which provides free, prompt, independent advice on immigration, and asylum, following this up through casework, support and appeals representations. We work with refused asylum seekers and other people subject to immigration control to alleviate the misery of state-enforced destitution, providing cooked meals, food parcels, sleeping bags, clothing and advocating to ensure that our clients are able to access appropriate support provision.

We work with other statutory and voluntary agencies to provide services for asylum-seekers and refugees. We also advocate for changes within these agencies to meet the needs of asylum-seeking and refugee communities.

We work in partnership with other voluntary, community and statutory agencies, under the umbrella of the Refugee Strategy Network, to assess, monitor and address the needs of asylum-seeking communities in Birmingham.
