Guildford Town Centre Chaplaincy

Guildford Town Centre Chaplaincy (GTCC) is a pioneering project to bring a spiritual dimension to town centre life and build bridges of understanding, trust and cooperation between communities of work, faith, leisure and society. It does this through engagement in town centre life and providing pastoral care to anyone in need. By day this is done by (paid and volunteer) Chaplains and at night through volunteer Street Angels who care for people late at night, for example by listening, offering practical help, simple acts of generosity or referral to specialist agencies who can help them.

GTCC represents the realisation of a "dream" first conceived in the Christian Community of the town almost a decade ago and stemming from Christian beliefs and a long Christian heritage of service and caring for vulnerable people. It has been warmly received across the community including amongst town centre businesses. Values of selflessness and being non-judgmental, integrity, honesty, excellence, professionalism, collaboration and adding value lie at the heart of everything the GTCC does.
