Pennywell Youth Project

Pennywell Youth Project is a well-established voluntary organisation that provides a wide range of social, recreational and informal learning opportunities throughout the year to meet the needs of young people aged 11 – 25 who live in Pennywell and the surrounding estates. The Project has an enviable track record of working with young people from the area, particularly those who are marginalized and those who have been identified as ‘at risk’. Current work programmes include; out of school activities, young volunteers, chain reaction cycle programme, connect education programme, school inclusion, employment, young mums, daily drop-in sessions and evening youth sessions. Pennywell Youth Project is working to the Every Child Matters framework to ensure child have the support they need to: be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution, achieve economic well-being. These five outcomes are incorporated within programme development.
