HCEO has three sections - Day service that provided daily activities on three days a week, the Advocacy for Caribbean Elders project that operates on five days a week, and Mental Wellbeing on Fridays.

    Our mission is to: a) promote the interests of Hackney’s Caribbean elders;
    b) enable and empower elders to come together to identify their needs and influence statutory and other service providers and decision makers; and
    c) work in partnership to develop and provide high quality, culturally sensitive and appropriate services.

  • Aims

    Hackney Caribbean Elderly Organisation aims to:

    • To work in partnership with other statutory and voluntary agencies to develop and provide appropriate, high quality, accessible and culturally sensitive services and projects that benefit Hackney’s
    • To ensure that HCEO has access to sufficient financial and human resources to meet its aims and strategic objectives whilst maintaining the highest standards.
    • To enable elders to participate in and initiate consultative and engagement activities with external statutory and voluntary agencies.
    • To inform external agencies, both statutory and voluntary, about the needs of Caribbean elders to improve their understanding of, and ability to, respond to these increasingly complex needs.
