Working to improve the quality of life for those living and working in Fitzrovia, London. Providing welfare & housing advice, support for older people, Bangladeshi community, arts and media.

  • Mission statement

    To promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of people living and working in and around the central London area known as Fitzrovia by the advancement of education, protection of health and relief of distress.

    The promotion of recreation, leisure activities and a healthy environment in Fitzrovia in the interests of social welfare and to improve the quality of life of those who are in need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances.

    To support members of the Bangladeshi and Bengali-speaking community with a variety or services.

    To relieve poverty by the provision of advice and information about health, welfare, housing, social benefits and related matters.

    Publish a regular community newspaper and other media to inform and entertain local residents, and promote citizenship and democracy.

    Respond to planning and licensing applications and other environmental concerns affecting our neighbourhood.

  • Aims

    Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association aims to:

    • Publish a free neighbourhood newspaper to inform residents of issues that affect them and provide a voice for the community.
    • Provide a drop in advice service to help relieve poverty and maximise income of those in need.
    • Deliver community development activities for the Bangladeshi community.
    • Respond to planning and licensing applications from Camden and Westminster in order to improve and protect the residential amenity of the neighbourhood.
    • Support older people with health, arts and social activities.
