Chain Reaction Theatre Company

The award-winning Chain Reaction Theatre Company is an arts charity that exists to educate, inspire and increase the confidence of disadvantaged young people aged 5 to 19 in deprived areas of London and Essex. We help young people to become positive, informed, successful members of society by providing:

• Issue-based interactive theatre and media workshops delivered in community settings and schools in and out of school hours, including running a weekly issue based Youth Theatre in East London for five years
• Engaging educational theatre performances, supported by further resources (workshops/resource packs etc) delivered in schools and Specialist Educational Units (SEU’s) for youths with emotional & behavioural issues

Founded 1994

  • Mission statement

The award-winning Chain Reaction Theatre Company deliver inspirational theatre and interactive issue-based workshops to schools, theatres, community venues, and corporate clients. Since 1994 we have been inspiring people of all ages with our unique brand of informative, entertaining and thought-provoking theatre, engaging workshops and excellent video productions that directly address the most important issues facing today's society.

Our educational productions and workshops help prepare young people for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences they face while growing up, but adults too enjoy and value the informative and entertaining Chain Reaction experience!

We benefit the lives of our audiences by educating them on key current health and social issues in a memorable way, and by inspiring them to make positive informed decisions about their lifestyles, behaviours, attitudes and actions. In this way we help people create a better future, not only for themselves but also for their friends, collegues, peers and famililes, and the wider community.
