Caboodle Theatre in Education

Our aims are:
(i) The education and training of the public and in particular (but without limitation) young people.
(ii) Promoting or supporting activities which encourage the mental, moral and physical development of the public and in particular (but without limitation) young people and increase their potential and self-esteem.

Our main activities are visiting schools, predominantly Primary schools, to perform short pieces of theatre that introduce and educate pupils on specific topics such as Sustainability, Health and Equality. All performances link to different areas of the National Curriculum, offering schools an alternative way of exploring these important issues. All performances are supported with follow on drama based workshops that allow smaller groups of pupils, usually a class at a time, to study the topic in more depth. Our workshops are designed to encourage pupils to explore the issue through a cross curricular platform and not to view the issue in isolation.
