Dignity Alert and Research Forum is a vibrant organisation working to end violence against women and children in Scotland and Eastern Africa, in particular we're involved in the fight to end FGM/C.

Mission statement
DARF's current focus is to end female genital mutilation (FGM), also known as female circumcision or cutting. DARF is the only organisation in Scotland systematically focusing on ending FGM through multiple rights-based approaches especially creating awareness and trainings on FGM and related matters.
DARF aims to reduce the prevalence of FGM in Scotland and around the world, and ensure the provision of comprehensive services for affected girls and women. -
Aims
Dignity Alert & Research Forum (DARF) aims to:
- Equip professionals including the Police, health professionals and other voluntary organisations with the skills and tools to support change in FGM practicing communities.
- Effect positive change and facilitate community social support for the abandonment of FGM through education & campaigning initiatives.
