Squeaky Gate is a creative education charity. We work to improve people's mental health and wellbeing and facilitate their social and economic inclusion through accredited courses in music and arts.

  • Mission statement

    Squeaky Gate is a creative charity, empowering people through music and the arts. We deliver a wide programme of live performance, creative training and accredited learning,producing and performing strong and original work.

    We work with groups of people at risk of social exclusion for a number of reasons including homelessness, mental health issues, autism, exclusion from school and criminality. We have a base in Cambridge and London but deliver an outreach programme in a variety of places in the UK (South-East, Central, London) working closely in partnership with charities, educational institutions and professional artists.

    Squeaky Gate aims to:

    • Support people who are at risk of social or economic exclusion to participate in their communities and in the economy
    • Improve the wellbeing and mental health of the people we work with
    • Create high quality, strong and original musical performances and products that inspire people
