Sir John Soane's Museum

Sir John Soane's Museum is regarded by many as the finest House Museum in the World. Designed by one of this country's greatest architects, his home is unchanged since 1837 and contains an unrivalled collection of art, sculpture, books, antiquities, drawings and furniture all artfully arranged within the labrythine interiors of London's most suprising house and visited by more than 100,000 people each year.
The Museum has ambitious plans to restore and open up a whole new floor of Soane's incredible interiors for the public to see and enjoy. A new gallery is needed to show exhibitions and a new entrance, disabled lift and education facilities are all planned as part of a £6M project that will enable more people to learn about and be inspired by this visionary architect and designer.
