Edirisa UK

Edirisa UK has been operating since 2005, we focus on four main elements of development: education, health and sanitation, access to clean water and sustainable development.

Founded 2005

  • Mission statement

Working to improve the living conditions of the Ugandan people.

Since 2005 we have refurbished several primary schools and have built and run 4 nursery schools. We place great importance on special needs education, severely neglected in Uganda, and are heavily involved with the Special Needs Education Centre in Kitanga. Clean water is one of our big priorities and we install water harvesting tanks in remote regions to help tackle water borne diseases and improve health, hygiene and sanitation. We have installed over a hundred 4,000 litre water harvesting tanks in villages in the Kabale region. We are also committed to providing quality medical care and have built a clinic at Lake Bunyonyi in partnership with the local Health Authority and the Tropical Medicine School in Slovenia.

  • Aims

    Edirisa UK aims to:

    • To work in partnership with the local community to improve education and health facilities and to help the local people to build sustainable enterprises - crafts, beekeeping, solar power etc
