Edinburgh Development Group

Edinburgh Development Group (EDG) was founded in 1991. It is a voluntary organisation committed to the principles of inclusion and equality. EDG works with adults who have learning difficulties and their families to:

• Assist people to plan positive changes in their lives
• Support groups to speak out about issues which are important to them
• Provide training and consultancy on person centred planning, inclusion and citizenship to staff, self advocates and families

    The Edinburgh Development Group recognises that every person is an individual and has the right to expect fair and equal treatment. We are committed to the principles of inclusion and the equality of opportunity and we aspire to uphold the values that underpin justice and human.
    We use the tools person centred planning and Big Plans. Work with individual to achieve community inclusion through active citizenship.
